RELATIONAL STUDIO PRACTICE
Creative work happens between people.
Every rehearsal room, studio and collaborative process is shaped by communication, authority, trust, uncertainty and participation - whether these are spoken about or not.
What happens
in the room?
Relational Studio Practice brings psychotherapeutic thinking and practice into creative environments, creating structured spaces to explore the relational dynamics that shape creative work.
Through reflection, dialogue and process-based inquiry, we pay attention to how people communicate, take up space, respond to difference, navigate authority, build trust and work with uncertainty.
We work with vulnerability, boundaries, conflict, responsibility and care — recognising these not as separate from creative practice, but as part of the human experience of making, moving and working with others.
WHAT THIS CAN LOOK LIKE

THE SAME ROOM IS NOT THE SAME EXPERIENCE
People enter creative spaces with different histories of being seen, taking part, using their bodies, encountering authority and finding belonging.
Relational Studio Practice asks us to notice these differences rather than assume that the same invitation, exercise or environment is experienced in the same way by everyone.
The exercise maybe the same. The experience isn’t.
